Jerry Potts
Memorial 101% Award

The Jerry Potts Memorial 101% Award, which has been given out since 1987, is an award to the Blue Devil football player who has given 101% at all times. The honor is for the individual who in his own way, whether by building morale among teammates, giving his all on the practice field or during the fierce intensity of the game, while receiving little or no publicity, worked hard to demonstrate his love for the game and for the good of the team. These qualities exemplify Jerry Potts who work number 36 during his B-A football career and was tragically taken from us in 1986. His smile, sense of humor and dedication to his team were truly 101%. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Potts have established this annual award in honor of their son.
